Today, we kicked off a brand new school year! While it might have looked different from previous years, our bulletin board perfectly captures how our staff felt about returning: " We Simply Can't Mask Our Excitement To See You Here" Our staff also sends out a big "thank you" to our principal, Mr. Proper for treating us to Kona Ice after a very successful first day of school! It is going to be a great school year!
With COVID- 19, our teachers have had to be very clever to provide our little learners with meaningful experiences. Since our students were unable to attend the Pumpkin Patch field trip this year, our dedicated teachers brought the experience to them. This past Thursday, our Sycamore Tree students could be seen picking a pumpkin from the patch, posing for a photo or two, running a popcorn relay and cheering on their friends, or even decorating a scarecrow! To end the pumpkin patch festivities, all the students and teachers ate together outside for a picnic. While our Sycamore Tree students had a blast, we would like to think the Beta Club students had equally as much fun! Pumpkin Patches tend to bring out excitement in everyone and we can't thank our phenomenal group of Beta students that helped and participated in any way to make the festivities a possibility. We would like to extend a warm thank you to Ms. Cordry and Mrs. Hart for allowing the Beta Students to help with set-up and clean-up as well as assisting throughout the day! Also, a big thank you goes out to Bennett Farms for working with us through this process and helping make this event possible! All in all, it was a beautiful day full of fun, friendship, and laughter. Our teachers might be biased, but we believe we have the most perfect pick of the patch with the students we are blessed to teach!
